Today is the first day of Lent,
It's time for all souls to repent,
And with His good grace,
It's He that you'll face,
And you'll know what His sacrifice meant.

They say everyone loves a parade,

And the marchers are set and arrayed,

Whether lass or laddy,

They honored St. Paddy,

The crowd?  They all clapped and hurrayed.
